I’ve always wanted to have a space in my home to call my very own, where I can escape and find solitude within myself. Usually the voices in my head quiet down a bit after sundown, so the space in question will be perfect.
The way to make this serenity within chaos is for me to create myself a pillow room with all the colors and designs that make me the most relaxed. Earth tones are my favorite, any type of warm colors and I am sure to want to consume that space.
My idea is to have the room be a floor room only, no chairs, tables, couches or beds. The room will only have all sorts and shapes of beautifully colored bohemian or Moroccan style pillows.
My room will have a low and calming reading light. Nothing should take away from this experience.
Music will be playing, when I’m not reading. What type of music you ask? Well, nothing would be proper except classical, jazz, or some good ole down home blues. Playing anything else will get you politely removed from this mini paradise expeditiously.
This is my version of a room with a view. Not necessarily a literal sense of the word view, but more of an inner view of
consciousness.
Just a room where you can sip some wine, listen to some Beethoven or Bach while laying on your pillow covered floor, earthiness all around you. Sometimes we need a quiet space to either commune with God or just to have a ‘woo-saw’ moment.
This week, share what the concept of Seasons means to you. With readers of all ages, backgrounds, and representation from both hemispheres, we can’t wait to see what you share.
Last month, my photo challenge — Vibrant — was an attempt to wash away winter’s grayness. This week, let’s embrace the season: share an image that embodies the world or the weather where you live.
The word “seasons” can also describe a period or phase of your life. If this context resonates with you, share an image that expresses the seasonality of life itself or the present season of your life.

I always said I will get me a cool bike one day, along with my matching leather outfit.
Yes, that room is my ultimate happy place. Thanks for reading

What a colourful space, happy too, I can see it as a place to rejuvenate and clear the mind. I go to my shed, unlock the gun safe and do some judicious cleaning, then polish the Harley. After that I can face the mundane without a care in the world.

This is my ideal room. The photos are just some examples of colors and fabrics.
I want to be able to walk through the door of my pillow room and free fall onto the floor without fear, because my pillows will support me.
I may have to start in my closet but I will have my room. fingers crossed 😉
