What can I say?
Where do I begin?
As I sit outside in my backyard watching my little Bella play in the snow.
I’m trying to find the words.
Not sure where this post will take me. I’m just trying to find the words.
Six hours have passed since I wrote those first few lines
I’m still trying to find the words.
I thought you’d give me guidance, but you say you have none to spare
As I continue to try to find the words
It was said, ” A closed mouth don’t get fed,” as I open my mouth to speak, I stop because,
I’m trying to find the words
In my mind, I see the words so clearly, I can comprehend them,
But fail at translating them for you to understand the meaning
still, I search for the words
What is holding my words captive? How do I end this cycle of being a ‘POW’
Prisoner Of Words…
(To be continued…)

Thank you so much, Angela. I appreciate your kind words.
We all could use a little inspiration for our writing. Don’t worry, the words will come for you when the time is right.
Words like to play hide-and-seek. Thanks for commenting 😉
What a beautiful poem and I love to read about this you had a good written and I wish I could have that kind of talent
what a lovely and well written poem… I’m really suck at this one.. i don’t know.. maybe I really have no sense of poetry in me.. but every time I try to write a poem.. nothing really comes out on my mind.. maybe I need an inspiration hehe
That is a very good start to figuring out where the words have gone. Writers get this all too often. You got this.
Words are such a challenge. But fun and intriguing.
Poems are fun. Can’t wait to read one of yours. 😉
A lovely poem, the struggle to find those perfect words to fit, especially in relation to a loved one can Ben so hard to put into words. I am very much looking forward to reading the next part.
I wish I could write poems! 🙂
I’ll get to that soon. I think I forgot to continue it. HA! Thanks for the reminder 🙂
Thank you
Great article I love the poem thanks
Very well written. I’d like to see the continuation.
